Millcast Episode 110
Dec 24, 2024
Carl Nelson, Barn Builder
In this episode, we interview Carl Nelson, a barn builder who specialized in timber-framed agricultural buildings. Peg and Carl discuss some of his work on her farm, how he got started in this business, and the dying art of building timber frames with mortise and tenon joints (Don’t know what those are? Don’t worry, you will!). We then share a sneak peek of the limited edition Corriedale Confetti yarn, and announce that it will go on sale next Tuesday, December 31st. After reflecting on the past year, we express some gratitude for all the people who helped make 2024 an incredible year for Junction Fiber Mill. Finally, we wrap up with an announcement that we’re hiring for a full-time Mill Worker and that we have a Saturday Open House on January 4 from 10a-1p!
