Natural undyed medium gray with technicolor specks of dyed silk
This pin-drafted roving is made from 95% undyed Corriedale wool and 5% reclaimed sari silk, creating a soft, lofty fiber with small flashes of color throughout. The silk is shredded from recycled sari fabric and blended into the wool while processing, giving each hank its own confetti-like mix of bright flecks. The wool was grown in the Northeast at Patchwork Pastures Farm in Hyde Park, New York, where Corriedale sheep are raised for their versatile, high-quality fleece. Known for its softness, defined crimp, and longer staple length, Corriedale is a favorite among hand spinners for its balance of strength and ease of drafting.
