So smitten to make my mittens! Stocked up with mill blend and heliotrope. Also bought some roving to spin, hopefully we can make some mittens from that. The 11:11 mittens are beautiful, and learning mosaic has been fun and her instructional videos on her YouTube have been SO helpful. Excited to gift these out this season. Beautiful as always!
I started the mittens and can't believe how soft and lovely the yarn is! Pattern is great too. I love your podcast too. I'll try to remember to post a picture of the mittens when they are done. Thanks for the high quality yarn. I will definitely be buying more in the future.
I haven't knit with it yet. This is my first time buying from JFM. I love the podcast but usually knit with softer yarn and my skin is pretty sensitive. I love the color changing aspect. I haven't decided what I'm going to knit with this yet. Probably a cowl or small scarf. I know it's going to be fun. I love to try new things. As far as the colorways themselves go, I received a skein of the heliotrope which had an awful lot of acid green in it which is not a color I like much. Most of the other colors in the skein are marled with white but the green is solid green so it's a lot. The second thing is that this colorway has no blue in it that would tie it in to the blue of the solid color I received. So that is a disappointment. The final thing is that the Prom colorway turns out not to be a roots colorway but is labeled an Experiment which is sparkle yarn. This isn't horrible but not certainly not what I was looking for. But my whole point is to try something new and see how it knits up and wears. So I'm excited to give it a go.
Both colors are fantastic.
