A blend of greens and blues evoking a sunny forest clearing.
Our Making Tracks line of yarn is a variegated blend of fine Merino, Targhee, and Corriedale wool from flocks in Idaho to western South Dakota. Scoured and combed at Chargeurs, it is hand-dyed, pin-drafted, spun, and finished at our mill. This non-superwashed, non-mulesed yarn pairs beautifully with our Roots line of solid yarn, which is made with the same base.
There is a lot of variation within each batch of Making Tracks that we have aimed to showcase this in the product photos. If you have a specific idea of what you'd like, leave an order note at checkout. You can also make a

Care
Wet-Blocking Care Instructions
Your project isn’t truly complete until it’s had its first wash! Here’s how to help our yarns reach their full potential:
Fill a sink or basin with cold water.
Add a small amount of no-rinse wool wash.
Submerge your knitted item, gently squeezing out any air bubbles to ensure it stays fully underwater.
Soak for up to 10 minutes. While our dyes are tested for colorfastness, some dyes are notoriously difficult to set and may release a small amount of excess color.Using cold water, gentle wool wash, and a short soak will help prevent color redeposit on light-colored fibers.
Drain the water.
Gently lift your knitted item from the water and remove excess moisture by rolling it between clean, dry towels with light pressure.
Lay flat and shape to air dry.
For projects with contrasting colors, we recommend steam blocking to avoid any color transfer.

The color gradient on this colorway is divine! <3 the color transition is so smooth and the colors are all my favorites, pretty purples, dreamy greens, and deep blues. Whats not to love? I combined it with some hand spun yarn I picked up from the yarn expo in MA last year. I think they go lovely together :)
I'm working on a bat wing shawl (the pattern is the Forgotten Lore Shawl by Isabella Tonski of Fiber & Fox) in Tang, Vampire, Brat, and Charcoal. I can't wait to wear it this fall!
This yarn is for my 11:11 KAL sweater. I love how they look together, and I’m excited to start knitting this sweater! Junction Fiber Mill makes beautiful yarn!
Always amazing♥️
My favorite yarn as it knits up so nice!
Wonderful stitch definition! Fast shipping! Always a sweet maple leaf candy in the bag!!
Thank you!!!😊
I adore the mill and the whole crew! This color way is fantastic and I’m starting small as I’m getting back in to knitting but really enjoying the process!
This yarn is absolutely beautiful and so easy to work with. I crochet and made this sweater without a pattern, but wanted to give myself to make something long lasting with high quality yarn! It was so fun and rewarding to make. The color of this yarn is gorgeous.
Get ready to have that summer vibe - like running into the Gulf and a white sandy beach. This is a beautiful color for a shawl or light cardigan to throw over your shoulders! Of course, we who live in Florida are appreciate to have Ocean Eyes.
Absolutely love this vibrant pink color. I wanted to make something I could pair with different outfits, so I made a Petite Knit Sophie Scarf with this yarn. Such a joy to knit with and the color is really wonderful.
As usual this yarn is gorgeous! Love this colorway - goes with everything. Not sure what I’ll use it for but for now it's a great addition to my stash.
Perfect combination to the neutral!
I just love all their yarn! Honestly you can’t go wrong picking your personal favorites or try a new color! The stitch definition is so awsome that every stitch is a joy!
The colors make my brain light up!
