Our Making Tracks line of yarn is a variegated blend of soft wool (mostly Corriedale) from flocks in the American West or South America (more info). Scoured and combed at Chargeurs, it is hand-dyed, pin-drafted, spun, and finished at our mill in Vermont. This non-superwashed, non-mulesed yarn pairs beautifully with our Roots line of solid yarn, which is made with the same base.

Really enjoyed making this Alaska hat with Making Tracks Lite in Winterberry and Charcoal. The colors of Winterberry are just perfect for this project! The wool is warm and does not itch. One 50g skein of each color is plenty for this project. For me, 32 stitches over a 4" swatch was a comfortable gauge and did not feel tight. This may vary according to personal preference, the sport yarn would work at a bit looser gauge as well.
Winterberry and fig are my colors for Logan’s 11:11 sweater. Love it!
Last night I blocked the body of this brilliant 11:11 sweater by JFM staff member, Logan Laine. The pattern is very unique in structure and special details. Logan uses slip stitch to get the brioche look. This is very well written and fun to knit. My CC is JFM Winterberry Lite. I love how these colors are unfolding, and the yarn is divine.
